Carolina Tar Heel Tribute

Carolina is proud to have many members of the staff, faculty and student body who have served or who are currently serving in the military. Their leadership and service to both the country and the University is celebrated with the Tar Heel Tribute, an annual event in honor of the many contributions of the veterans and service members in the Carolina community.

Friday, November 10 | noon to 2 p.m.

Trillium Room, Friday Conference Center

100 Friday Center Drive, Chapel Hill, NC

The program will include complimentary lunch, special gift and reception.

Dr. Perrin Jones, U.S. Navy Reserve and University Board of Trustee, will deliver the Tar Heel Tribute keynote address. Dr. Jones served in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 2000-2008 and later was a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. A UNC-Chapel Hill alumni, Perrin’s Carolina activities include service on the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Visitors, the Student Recruitment Committee, and the Legislative Liaison Committee; he is also a member of the Gerard Legacy Society and the General Alumni Association. Dr. Jones is an anesthesiologist and a partner with East Carolina Anesthesia Associates.

Event parking is free and available on site with a parking pass, which will be emailed as part of the event confirmation; parking passes will also be available at the event.
