About the Division
The Division of Human Resources and Equal Opportunity and Compliance, formerly known as Workforce Strategy, Equity & Engagement, strives to make Carolina a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Since its beginning in 2014, the division has significantly increased collaboration across campus units, created campuswide opportunities for compliance training and engagement, and continue to advance Carolina’s mission to provide a welcoming, equitable, and stimulating educational environment for all.
Our offices work to implement strategies for supporting and enriching Carolina’s workforce, complying with EO/ADA laws, and enhancing inclusiveness across all parts of our campus.
The Division of Human Resources and Equal Opportunity and Compliance is led by Vice Chancellor Becci Menghini.

- Equal Opportunity and Compliance Office: EOC has primary responsibility for developing, implementing, and executing policies and activities that arise from the University’s commitment to foster equitable treatment to employees and students and its obligation to comply with employment laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title IX, and other related state and federal laws and regulations.
